Did you recently replace your mobile device that was enrolled with Okta Verify?
The IT Helpdesk must first reset your enrolled factors (Okta Verify) on the backend. Please open a Helpdesk ticket to request a reset of your Okta Verify. Alternatively, you can email us at helpdesk@payscale.com Once the reset has taken place, you will be able to complete the setup on your new phone by following the steps below:
- Verify that "OKTA Verify" is installed on your new cell phone. (You can find this for free via the Iphone App Store or the Android Play Store).
- Navigate to payscale.okta.com from an incognito or private window on your computer, then log in with your username and password.
- You will be prompted to re-enroll in Okta Verify. Click 'Setup' next to the Okta Verify logo. **Ignore the Duo setup**
- Select your device type Iphone or Android.
- A new QR code will be displayed.
- On your cell phone, launch the Okta Verify app.
- Click the + button the top right and choose 'Organization'.
- Select 'Ready to scan'
- Scan the QR code presented at the Okta Verify setup with your cell phone.
- You should now see your Payscale account listed within the Okta Verify app!
The next time you log at payscale.okta.com you will be presented with the familiar 'Push' option that will send a push notification to the Okta Verify app on your new phone for authentication. In the rare event the 'Push' does not work, you can use the 6-digit backup code listed within the Okta Verify app.
